The car immobilizer automatically starts the car if you are using a keyless entry system, but for older cars, there will still be a need for a physical key.
Some advanced car immobilizers use "rolling codes" that change every time you start your car. Although these immobilizers still use a static code, the "rolling codes" is an extra layer of security to improve the security of your car’s immobilizer and lower the chances of your car getting stolen.
